Wholegrain rice

Rice that doesn’t give anything away.

Wholegrain rice undergoes minimal processing: in fact, only the outer part of the grain, called the hull, is removed. All its do-good properties, the fibres, vitamins, minerals, essential fats, iron and phosphorus, are therefore preserved.
As wholegrain rice is pretty much as mother nature intended, it’s a good idea to store it in a cool place (even in the fridge). Cook yourself up a nice little risotto and lunch is served.

Gluten-free.

Regulates gastric and intestinal functions.

Source of fibre.

What a story!

Though its origins are ancient, rice only arrived in Europe
at the start of the 8th century when the Moors invaded Spain.

China and India grow 50% of the world’s rice
and also consume 50 % of it..

The tradition of throwing rice at the bride and groom at weddings harks back
to an old Chinese legend, , in which it is a symbol of abundance.
